Navitec Marine Services was founded in 1979 as an independent industrial workshop specialized in
general shiprepairs. Its only two share-holders are permanently and exclusively active in the day to
day running of the Company, which ensures the best possible service for its customers.
There we have an engineering shop, machining shop, a welding shop, a pipework shop and a
warehouse with the most common sizes of pipes/fittings/steel profiles and plates/etc., equiped with
overhead cranes, forklifts, and all modern equipment – including a CNC burning table. This is the
startpoint and backup for our voyage repairs on location in the port. For our interventions we have
the necessarry mobile equipment:
Our carpark includes 20 vans, light and heavy trucks; one heavy truck with a 22 ton mobile crane.
Several small and medium size generators, welding diesels, portable electronic welding units, are
available in compact units which are standby to be loaded on the trucks. These units can be
equiped with burning/cutting gear, lighting and ventilation gear, etc. for immediate action.
A variety of equipment is available at all times for assisting in engine, rigging and other works; like
series of chainblocks, hydraulic jacks, airdriven tools, high pressure testing pumps, magnetic drilling
machines, and so on.
Workboat with hydraulic crane and small workpontoons are also available – eventually for anchors
and chains renewal, hull repairs, or at berths with only access from offshore side.
Our team includes about 48 experienced men, fixed employed, among which shiprepair managers,
engineers, riggers, steelworkers, benchworkers, pipefitters, and a ship’s electrician.
Besides these we can have assistance of back-up teams of regular Navitec subcontractors in all
fields.
The Navitec staff includes two captains (Master Mariners), an experienced chief engineer, an
experienced shipyard shipmanager, an experienced steelworks manager, and several purchasers.
