Navitec has taken it’s safety and health management up to a higher level over the past few years.
Large progress has been made since the appointment of our full time internal Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Officer, Joris Raeymaeckers.
Under his lead we put great effort, not only in developing an extensive Safety Management System, but also in applying it across all levels and members of our organisation.
After careful evaluation by Lloyd’s Register EMEA, Antwerp Office over the summer, we achieved a new milestone in safety management.
Our Safety Management System has been assessed and approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance against the SHE Checklist Contractors (SCC) Rev. 2008/5.1 SCC** (VCA**) standard.
The Safety Management System is applicable to “Execution of maintenance, repairs and welding works on board of seagoing vessels and maritime constructions”.
It goes without saying we are proud to have achieved this level of excellence in safety management.
However we take even more pride in the resulting dwindling number of incidents and injuries.
Rest assured we will not stop here.
Navitec is committed to continue it’s QHSE efforts in the future.
Obtaining a certificate is not the target, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our staff and all those involved is the ultimate goal.
